Rain moving out but wind gusts picking up with colder temperatures behind it

If you are hitting the road for Thanksgiving or heading into work, be careful on the roads this morning.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan says a line of showers is moving through metro Atlanta and north Georgia to start the week. But the showers won’t stick around for long.

Here is what to know as we head throughout Monday:

Temperatures

  • Rain will be widespread for the morning commute.
  • Winds will begin to pick up with gusts 20-30 MPH possible.
  • Tonight’s lows may reach below freezing in Atlanta for first time since February
