Stetson Bennett returning to UGA, JT Daniels entering transfer portal

ATHENS, Ga. — A week after Georgia won the national championship, both quarterbacks have decided their future with the Bulldogs program.

Stetson Bennett announced on Instagram Wednesday evening that he will return for one more year in 2022.

Channel 2 sports director Zach Klein has also confirmed reports that JT Daniels will enter the transfer portal.

Daniels, who transferred to Georgia from USC in 2020, started off the season as Georgia starter until an injury sidelined him.

Bennett took over as the Bulldogs starter in the fifth game of the year and kept the job for the rest of the season.
