TAMPA, Fla. — One person has died and seven others are hurt following a mass shooting in Tampa, Florida, authorities said.
According to WFTS and WFLA, the incident occurred about 8 p.m. Tuesday near Sligh Avenue and North 50th Street. Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunfire and found eight people injured, WFTS reported.
The victims were rushed to area hospitals, where one person died, according to WFTS. Of the other victims, one was in critical condition and six were in stable condition, the news outlet reported.
Detectives continue to investigate the case, according to WFLA. No further information was immediately available.
