Country Time, Tang, Arizona Tea added to Kraft Heinz’s Kool-Aid recall for glass, metal fragments

CHICAGO — More than three dozen varieties of powdered beverages distributed nationwide by Chicago-based Kraft Heinz Co. are being voluntarily recalled due to the potential presence of tiny pieces of metal or glass.

Affected products include certain Country Time Lemonade, Tang and Arizona Tea products, as well as select Kool-Aid powdered beverages with “best by” dates between May 10, 2023, and Nov. 1, 2023, the recall notice stated.

The complete list of affected products, with UPC and “best by” dates, can be found on the recall notice.

According to the company, the foreign materials may have been introduced during production, and an internal review at the manufacturing facility detected the issue.

“The Company is actively working with retail partners and distributors to remove potentially impacted products from circulation,” Kraft Heinz stated.

Consumers are advised not to consume any of the affected products and to discard them or return them to the store where purchased.
