The injunction came one day after Saget’s family filed suit against officials in Orange County seeking to stop authorities from publicly releasing records from the investigation into the 65-year-old’s death. In particular, family members asked a judge to block the release of “photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, statutorily protected autopsy information and all other statutorily protected information,” according to a copy of the complaint obtained by WFTV.

Family members said they would “suffer irreparable harm in the form of extreme mental pain, anguish and emotional distress” if the records were to be released to the public, WFTV reported. Further, they argued that “no legitimate public interest would be served by the release or dissemination of the records to the public.”

Family members asked for a temporary injunction to halt the release of records as the case makes its way through court. Ultimately, they said they are seeking a permanent injunction to bar the release of records.

Authorities found Saget dead Jan. 9 at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, Florida, one day after he performed what would be his final stand-up comedy show in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. A hotel security officer found the actor unresponsive after he failed to check out of his room and called 911, WFTV reported.

A medical examiner later determined that Saget’s death was accidental, caused by blunt force trauma most likely sustained during a fall.

Saget, who was known for his portrayal of Danny Tanner on “Full House” and for hosting “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo; his children, Aubrey Saget, Jennifer Belle Saget and Lara Melanie Saget; and his ex-wife, Sherri Kramer.
