“Walk this way!” Teachers at GA middle school make hilarious video of COVID-19 safety protcols

RABUN COUNTY, Ga. — Some north Georgia middle school teachers have gone to hilarious lengths to showcase new COVID-19 safety protocols in their school.

Rabun County Middle School teachers and staff released a video parody of Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” with all new lyrics. Students return to school on August 19 with both in-classroom and virtual learning options.

"Back to school and you're looking real cool with your mask tied up in your hair. Using hand sanitizer, soap and water to show that you really care," a staff member sings. "Walk this way! Not that way!"

The video goes on the show a teacher gleefully dancing around her classroom spraying hand sanitizer, teachers demonstrating social distancing in the hallways and wearing masks featuring the school mascot. There's even a little bit of the notorious "Flossie" dance thrown in.

“Take a chance, wash your hands. Use a little GermX too, and remember when you’re moving from place to place, this is what we do,” someone sings.

Last week, a school in Floyd County did a similar parody video to Vanilla Ice’s “Ice, Ice, Baby.”
