Police say there is an “active and evolving scene” at 2000 Bouldercrest Road.
The department said it responded to a domestic incident around 6:30 p.m.
A 26-year-old, Demontavious SoHo, fired on two officers when they arrived and at least one officer returned fire, officials say.
DeKalb County police gave a public update here.
Both officers were struck by gunfire in the exchange and taken to nearby hospitals where they are expected to be OK.
SoHo then fled into woods, being taken into custody a short time later with a gunshot wound. Police credited nearby camera systems with getting the suspect into custody so quickly.
The GBI has confirmed they’ve been requested to investigate this incident.
