CITY OF SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — A South Fulton police officer faces charges following an incident in Atlanta.

The City of South Fulton Police Dept. said Sgt. Amber Johnson was charged with DUI less safe, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane on Sept. 25 at about 11:04 p.m. The alleged incident occurred on Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW in Atlanta.
Following the charges, the police department placed Johnson on administrative duties pending an investigation.
The South Fulton Police Department released an official agency statement addressing the charges involving Johnson.
“The department takes this matter seriously and remains committed to professional conduct and accountability. Additional comment will be limited while the investigation is pending.”
