Federal agent arrested during undercover Fulton County prostitution sting

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — An undercover prostitution sting in Fulton County has landed a federal agent behind bars.

A South Fulton police investigator posed undercover as a prostitution decoy near Fulton Industrial Boulevard Thursday night.

The sting led to ten men being arrested on misdemeanor charges.

One of those men had something in his car that said “Police-Homeland Security” and later identified himself as an inspector with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. His identity has not been released.

Lieutenant Shannon McKesey says stings like this are important to help eliminate the demand for sex trafficking.

Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne spoke with a number of the suspects as they sat in the back of patrol car. Some of them admitted to the allegations, but most of them denied the accusations.

Police add that five of the suspects had guns in their cars.
