HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. — Another north Georgia sheriff’s deputy has been arrested and fired over misusing Flock cameras.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office says Jonathan Thomas used license plate data for a non-law enforcement purpose.
Investigators say it happened after an incident with someone he had a personal relationship with.

Thomas has worked with the sheriff’s office since December 2024.
He was terminated and charged with violation of oath of office and misuse of license plate data.
Last month, Habersham County fired and arrested another deputy for allegedly misusing the cameras.
Sheriff Robin Krockum says they are changing department policy to access the cameras.

The sheriff says that deputies must now get documented supervisor approval, have a case number and contact the dispatch center to log the search.
“We will continue to be transparent to the public in the way we conduct ourselves and hold those responsible who violate their trust,” the sheriff said in a statement.
