WOODSTOCK, Ga. — The 2026 Scarecrow Invasion is setting up shop in Woodstock as registration for the major event opens Tuesday.
In-person registration takes place at the Woodstock Visitors Center at 8588 Main St. and continues through September as long as display spaces remain available. Event organizers say spaces are limited and they expect most or all spots to be filled by 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The event invites local businesses, non-profits and individuals to create and display custom scarecrows in downtown Woodstock during October.
Registration fees are set at $100 for businesses and $50 for non-profits and individual community members. Scarecrow display installation begins Sept. 28.
Public voting runs throughout October at the Visitors Center, which is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
Votes cost $1 each and participating businesses with scarecrow displays may also accept votes at their business locations. The entry with the most votes receives a trophy. Proceeds from event registration and voting benefit INSeason, the design committee for IN WDSTK. The funds support Downtown Woodstock beautification initiatives, including seasonal landscaping and holiday decorations along Main St.
All displays will be removed by Nov. 3.
