According to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened last week when deputies arrived at a home to carry out a search warrant.

Authorities say the suspect, identified as Mark Carlyle, refused to come out of the home when deputies first arrived.

While inside, investigators say Carlyle tried to flush marijuana down the toilet in an effort to get rid of the drugs before deputies could enter.

He was eventually taken into custody.

In a video posted by the sheriff’s office, Sheriff Ashley Henson can be heard describing the moment, saying the “suspect’s toilet couldn’t handle all the weed he was trying to flush as deputies waited outside.”

The department also shared a caption alongside the video, joking, “Before y’all say, ‘it’s just weed’… more to come. Good try, Shug. This guy fooled around and found out.”
