FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Teachers and educators across Forsyth County are getting extra support to bring creative ideas to life in their classrooms.
The Forsyth County Education Foundation awarded more than $114,300 through its 2026 FriYAY Grant program, funding 27 projects designed to improve student learning, engagement, leadership and innovation across Forsyth County Schools.

The grants were funded through money raised during the foundation’s 2026 Duck Dive for Education, a raffle which had 7225 participants. The buy-in was $10 with one lucky duck receiving a $10,000 payout.
Among the funded projects are a virtual reality learning lab at Brookwood Elementary School, an outdoor classroom at Haw Creek Elementary School and an outdoor wellness courtyard at North Forsyth High School.

Other projects focus on literacy, student leadership, recognition programs, technology and hands-on learning.
At Lambert High School, $5,000 will go toward acoustic treatment for the school’s bands. South Forsyth High School received nearly $5,000 for an Electricity and Magnetism Learning Closet, while Denmark High School received $4,966 for its “From Concept to Discovery” project.
Several schools will also use the grants to support student leadership and positive behavior programs. Midway Elementary School received $5,000 for its Leadership Lab GO project, while South Forsyth Middle School received $2,500 for its Eagles LEAD student leadership academy.

The foundation said the grants are intended to give educators the opportunity to turn creative ideas into meaningful learning experiences that can have a lasting impact on students, schools and the broader Forsyth County community.
