Motorcycle club headquarters raided by FBI

ATLANTA — The FBI and DeKalb County police raided the headquarters of a motorcycle club Thursday morning.

A compound on Campbellton Road just west of Fairburn Road in southwest Atlanta was searched by agents who removed bags of evidence.

The property is the headquarters of the Outlaws motorcycle club.

The FBI would not say what it is looking for but did say the raid is part of an extensive criminal investigation.

According to the U.S. attorney's office, there are 23 defendants in the case and charges are related to drug and gun offenses connected to the Outlaw motorcycle club and some of its affiliates.

A second location in Gwinnett County was also raided on Thursday in connection to the investigation.

The owner of the property, who is a member of the club, said no illegal activity was taking place.
