SAVANNAH, Ga. — A man who was wanted for shooting five people outside of a sports bar in Florida the day after Thanksgiving was arrested in Savannah.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office says Ronnie Morton III, 23, pulled out a gun in the parking lot of Absolute Sports Lounge in Bradenton, Florida, near Sarasota, and shot a 25-year-old man he was arguing with.
That man was shot several times and four bystanders were also hit. All five of them suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Over the weekend, Morton’s cellphone pinged on railroad tracks near Jacksonville, Florida. Investigators determined that he was on an Amtrak train heading to North Carolina.
Savannah police and Amtrak police assisted Manatee County deputies and arrested Morton at a Savannah train station.
He is charged with five counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, possession of a firearm and armed robbery from a previous outstanding warrant out of Manatee County.

Morton is currently being held in the Chatham County Jail and will be extradited to Manatee County.
Detectives say they are still trying to learn the identity of another man who was in the car with Morton at the time of the shooting.
