ATLANTA — A person has possibly barricaded themself in a home on Hank Aaron Drive SE, Atlanta police tell Channel 2 Action News Wednesday night.
Investigators said officers were flagged down near Hank Aaron Drive SE and Vanira Avenue SE. They discovered a man who had apparently been shot, according to Atlanta police.
Preliminary information indicated that an argument between the victim and the shooter became heated. The two people knew each other, but the disagreement escalated into a shooting near 964 Hank Aaron Drive SE around 6 p.m.

Police told Channel 2 Action News the male victim was alert, conscious and breathing. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Witnesses told officers the suspected shooter took off, and they may have entered a nearby home.
Officers surrounded the home and has requested assistance from APD TFO units after attempts to contact the suspect were unsuccessful.
