GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Detectives are still searching for whoever killed a man inside a townhome near Tucker, where a stray bullet hit a second home.
Gwinnett County police say officers were called to Lawrenceville Highway around 4:30 p.m. Monday and found a man shot to death inside.

Neighbors pointed to a bullet that ended up in a garage across the street. Nobody there was hurt.
The shooting happened around the time middle school students usually walk home through the neighborhood.
“I just thought about the children that usually play outside, families that sit in their garage, people who are just walking by,” said one neighbor, a mother who asked not to be identified.
She had her own garage open that afternoon and was leaving for something to eat. She changed her mind and stayed inside.
“I could have been the one in the crossfire, someone in my car, anybody driving by,” she said.

Police say the man who died lived elsewhere and was there for a planned visit. The man who lives in the townhome came back from work and found him.
Neighbors say the home has a recording studio inside, and visitors came and went at times.
Detectives have not named a motive or a suspect. The Gwinnett County Police Department said the killing appears to be isolated.
“We don’t want anyone running around killing people for any reason,” the neighbor said.
