SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — The City of South Fulton Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was found in a wooded area Monday evening.

Police said officers responded to the area near Blake Loop and Peyton Trail after receiving reports of shots fired.
Officers then located the man in the wooded area. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police said the circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, including whether there was any connection to the reported gunfire.
