CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Clayton County Police Department says a male victim died after being shot in Riverdale Friday night.
Police responded at about 10:04 p.m. to the scene in the area of Homewood Drive and Leafwood Lane in Riverdale.

The male gunshot victim was unresponsive at the scene, and died at a local hospital.
Officers found a suspect in the area. That individual was taken into custody.
The identities of the suspect and victim haven’t been disclosed, nor have the circumstances behind the shooting.
Police are continuing to investigate.
