ATLANTA — A man has died after he was hit by multiple cars on Interstate 75 in northwest Atlanta.
Police and fire officials shut down the interstate between Howell Mill Road and Moores Mill Road late Tuesday night.

A Channel 2 Action News photographer captured images of cars stopped on the interstate as police, the Georgia Department of Transportation officials, fire crews, ambulances and tow trucks responded to the scene.
Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields reported on Channel 2 Action News This Morning that the lanes reopened just before 4:30 a.m.
According to police, a man “darted” into interstate traffic and was hit by multiple vehicles. Investigators have not said why the man was running.
The man has not been identified as of Wednesday morning.
