“He was a fantastic human being, a friend, a colleague, and someone who made a difference in the lives of the people fortunate enough to know him,” Brooks said. “There are some people who come into your life and leave an impression that doesn’t fade. Tim was one of those people. His presence, his character, and the way he cared for those around him will be deeply missed.”

The agency has not released how Tallant died. Brooks is asking for the community to keep his family and friends in their thoughts and prayers.

“Tim, thank you for your service, your friendship, and for the mark you left on this agency and this community. Rest easy, Captain. You will never be forgotten,” Brooks said.
