Georgia Lottery player wins $2 million off scratch-off

GILMER COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia Lottery player claimed a $2 million top prize after playing the 100Xtra scratcher.

The winner purchased the ticket at the Valero Gas Station at 600 Howard Simmons Road in East Ellijay and claimed the prize on Oct. 2.

The Georgia Lottery said players claimed $38.6 million in winnings from scratch-off tickets last week.

Someone also took home $100,000 in the Oct. 3 Powerball drawing. The winner in Bonaire purchased the ticket online and selected the Powerplay option, which doubled the prize from $50,000 to $100,000.

Several players won big prizes playing Diggi Games on the Georgia Lottery mobile app and website ranging from $12,500 to $769,143.

The Georgia Lottery said proceeds from scratchers, Powerball and Diggi Games benefit education in Georgia.
