LOGANVILLE, Ga. — The Loganville Police Department is searching for a man accused of getting into a car accident, then firing a gun at the other driver before driving away.
Police said a driver, later identified as Jacob Connell of Jonesboro, was involved in a crash on Georgia Highway 81 at about 11:35 a.m. on Saturday.
A witness to the crash told police Connell fired a gun while driving off.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked with the Loganville Police Department to find Connell with their K-9 unit.
While investigators said they were unable to verify if shots were fired at the scene, a check on Connell revealed he has outstanding warrants for his arrest in another jurisdiction.
Police said more warrants related to the Hwy 81 incident were also coming.
Upon arrest, Connell will face charges of:
- Failure to maintain lane
- Hit and run
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of cocaine
