ATLANTA — All lanes of Interstate 285 in southwest Atlanta remains shut down as part of the Georgia Department of Transportation’s ongoing Westside Rebuild Project construction.
GDOT shut down both northbound and southbound for a two-mile stretch between the Cascade Road Martin Luther King Jr. Drive exits on Friday night.
Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields reports that the lanes were scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday. However, Traffic Tracker 2 cameras show that work is still being done on the lanes.
GDOT told Shields they are aiming to reopen the lanes by 7 a.m.

To detour southbound, take Interstate 20 east to the downtown connector, and then Langford Parkway back to I-285.
The northbound detour would divert onto Langford Parkway to the downtown connector, then I-20 west back to I-285.
