Human remains found on the side of the road in northeast Georgia

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — The White County Sheriff’s Office is investigating human skeletal remains found near Cleveland.

Authorities say the skeletal remains were found on the side of the road by a property owner in the 6000 block of Duncan Bridge Road.

The remains were given to the GBI to be processed by the medical examiner.

It’s unclear how long the remains had been there or how the person died.

The person has not been identified.
