Severe thunderstorm warning expires for metro Atlanta counties

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Barrow, Morgan, Oconee and Walton counties until 7:30 p.m.

Temperatures this Sunday have been hot, and isolated storms will developed this afternoon.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon says the forecast will remain active heading into Monday and Tuesday, staying hot with scattered storms.

Deon said temperatures will reach highs in the upper 80s to 90s.

On Wednesday, temperatures start turning around and becoming cooler and more seasonal, with highs in the lower 80s before drying out Thursday.
