WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — A hiker made a surprising discovery on Wednesday morning when he or she found the remains of two people.
The White County Sheriff’s Office says a hiker alerted them to the remains of two people on Mount Yonah just before 11:30 a.m.

Sheriff Rick Kelley has not shared the identities of those people.
There is no word on how they died.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Natural Resources responded to the scene.
Authorities are still investigating.
