GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A man accused of dressing up as an Amazon driver to steal packages is in jail along with a woman who police say helped him.
Police told Channel 2 Gwinnett County Bureau Chief Matt Johnson that this had been going on for weeks in neighborhoods near Duluth.
Packages would be delivered to doorsteps and stolen within minutes, but police had plenty of evidence.
Doorbell cameras all over Gwinnett County caught the same man in an Amazon vest stealing packages off porches, LIVE on Channel 2 Action News at 4:00 p.m..
He dressed the part, but police say he was taking packages not delivering them.
One video shows him hand a stolen box to a woman waiting nearby.
The reports started stacking up in early March from apartments and townhomes near tree corners parkway and satellite boulevard near Duluth.
“It was easy to identify that it’s the same suspect,” said Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Ryan Winderweedle.
