GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County Public Library is encouraging residents to explore its programs and services as part of Library Card Sign-Up Month, which started Tuesday.
The public library system operates 15 branches and serves more than 1 million residents across the county.
The annual campaign aims to connect community members with educational tools, career resources, technology and recreational materials available through the library.

“With your library card in hand, our staff is ready to help you explore new interests, find your next favorite book, advance your career, or provide resources to help children succeed in school,” Gwinnett County Public Library Executive Director Charles Pace said. “It is our goal to make sure every one of our residents knows about the benefits of a library card.”

For young students, the library system provides educational resources including the eRead Kids digital library, which contains fiction and nonfiction picture books, early readers, graphic novels and chapter books in English and Spanish for pre-K through fourth-grade students.
Older students can utilize the LearningExpress Library for study guides, practice tests in math and language arts and preparation materials for the SAT, ACT and AP exams, as well as 24 hours a day Brainfuse Online tutoring or in-person tutoring at select branches.
To support job seekers and local businesses, nine library branches feature Learning Labs equipped with a variety of different tools, technology and software for professional training and practice.
Cardholders can also get free access to LinkedIn Learning, which features more than 16,000 online video courses taught by industry professionals.
Library cardholders can also borrow free admission passes to cultural institutions and outdoor locations across Georgia.
Participating destinations include the Center for Puppetry Arts, the Mimms Museum of Technology and Art, and Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, according to library system officials.
