GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — In 2022, a Gwinnett County man filed a lawsuit against Dinesh D’Souza, a conservative filmmaker and advocate.
The lawsuit focused on how Mark Andrews was a focus of the film “2,000 Mules,” which accused him and others of ballot harvesting and election fraud during the 2020 Georgia elections.
The case was scheduled to go to a jury trial on Monday, according to federal court records.

In a recently published update to the case, the jury trial was canceled on July 30 and the case was closed, with both parties telling the court they had reached a settlement.
Following that update, the federal court closed the case and dismissed it with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled the same way.
The terms of the settlement between D’Souza and Andrews were not available in the court records that are public.
Channel 2 Action News has reached out to representatives of both parties for comment on the case.
