GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Residents are concerned after spotting a small bear roaming the Sugar Hill area over the weekend.
Gwinnett County 911 and Animal Control received several calls about the bear during a six-hour period on Saturday.
"The poor thing look scared to death. It ran right across the road in front of a bunch of cars," one caller said.

Aldo Sixtos took cellphone video of the cub scrounging through garbage in the neighborhood.
“A dog, it was the size of a dog…but when he turned around he had a long nose and we knew it was something else,” he said.
Sixtos’ family ran inside and watched for 40 minutes as the bear roamed their yard and climbed a tree.
“It was the first time we’d seen a bear, you know, so we didn’t know if it was a little boy or a mom. We didn’t know,” Sixtos said.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources said the bear is likely a young male who recently left his mother to fend for himself.
There have been no reported sightings of the bear since Saturday, but Sixtos said he keeps wondering if the bear or his mother could be nearby.
“When I’m working here or just cleaning up the house, I’m just looking everywhere now,” he said.
Department officials said that as long as food is not left out, the bear will likely move on to a more rural setting.
