During the pursuit, the individuals led the officers into DeKalb County on Interstate 85 southbound, where Brookhaven police officers quickly got involved.

Authorities said at that point, an officer performed a PIT maneuver to stop the suspect vehicle before taking them into custody.

No one was seriously hurt in the crash, but the three suspects were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Evan Hicks said he understands why some people want police to stop chasing suspects altogether.

“Normally, if you’re being chased by police, you should stop. You have no reason to just continue on and on, you should stop,” a driver named Leonard said. “You have to maintain law and order one way or another, so it’s really subjective.”
