Diaz-Villalba was taken to a local hospital where he died more than three weeks later on Jan. 14.
On Jan. 17, the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled that Diaz-Villalba’s death was caused by the head injuries he received in the beating.
Investigators say they learned the suspects, 21-year-old Bryan Alvarado and 23-year-old Yeison Alvarado, got into a fight with Diaz-Villalba over money.
