NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Dolly Parton’s legacy will take center stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville this weekend.

The Opry will dedicate its Saturday show to Parton, honoring her life, legacy and decades-long impact on country music following her death at 80.
The show begins at 7 p.m. at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
The lineup includes Opry members Carly Pearce, Kathy Mattea and T. Graham Brown, along with Channing Wilson, Belle Frantz, Molly Tuttle and Dan Tyminski.
Parton’s connection to the Opry goes back to her childhood. She recalled performing there when she was about 10 years old before becoming an Opry member in the late 1960s.

Pearce has a special connection to Parton. She began performing at Dollywood as a teenager before Parton invited her to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2021.
The Opry has already begun honoring Parton. During Tuesday night’s show, Opry member Rhonda Vincent performed several of Parton’s classics, including “Coat of Many Colors,” “9 to 5” and “Jolene,” while Morgan Myles performed “I Will Always Love You.”
The August 29 show is part of the Opry’s yearlong OPRY 100 celebration, highlighting the institution’s 100 years of country music history.
