“With a major holiday coming up and fuel prices still at high levels, I am proud to take this step to keep more money in Georgians’ pockets,” Kemp said.

As Channel 2 Action News reported at the time, state suspended the gas tax on Sept. 28.
The current average price for a gallon of regular gas in Georgia is $3.66, and the average price for a gallon of diesel is $5.72.
