Georgia man threw hatchet into traffic after attacking someone, police say

SAVANNAH, Ga. — Savannah police have arrested a 37-year-old man after he was accused of attacking another person with a hatchet.

Dominique Miller has been charged with felony aggravated assault. Miller is accused of striking a man at the Thunderbird Motel on Ogeechee Road Wednesday.

The victim, who had non-life-threatening wounds, fought Miller off and was able to drive himself to the hospital.

Police have also charged Miller with attempting to throw a hatchet into moving traffic near Interstate 516 and Ogeechee Road around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers arrested Miller. He is in the Clarke County jail.
