Lane’s accident happened just weeks after his wedding, family members told ABC affiliate WALB.

Now his wife Keslie and Lane’s siblings are asking the community for support to help cover his medical costs.

“As a small business owner, the medical costs of what is to come will be enormous. Any gift is welcome,” the fundraiser said. ”All donations will go directly to his medical expenses. Hilton has done so much for the community. Let us step up and show him the same love back.”

The fundraiser from Lane’s family is seeking $25,000 for the costs and has, as of Thursday morning, received $21,695 in donations.
