Georgia Lottery players win big at metro Atlanta gas station, online

A Tyrone resident won a $1 million prize playing a scratch-off lottery ticket sold in Fayetteville, while a Dallas resident won more than $1.5 million in an online game Thursday.

The $1 million ticket was played on the 2nd Edition Billionaire Club game and sold at Fayette Village BP, at 1408 Highway 54 West in Fayetteville. The winner from Tyrone claimed the prize Thursday, opting for a lump sum cash payment of $535,398.06.

Also Thursday, the Dallas resident won $1,527,012 playing the Cats Jackpot Diggi Game online through the Georgia Lottery website or mobile app.

According to the Georgia Lottery, proceeds from scratch-off games and online Diggi Games are directed toward public education programs across the state.
