UPSON COUNTY, Ga. — The Thomaston-Upson School District said all of its schools were put on lockdown Thursday morning following an incident at a high school in the district.
According to a post from the school district, the incident happened at Upson Lee High School.
The district lifted the lockdown shortly before 9:30 a.m.
“Following a thorough assessment, no school was found to be under a credible threat, and all campuses have been determined to be safe. As a result, normal school operations have resumed,” the district said. “The safety and security of our students and staff will always remain our highest priority. We appreciate the quick response of our school administrators, staff, and our law enforcement partners.”
