FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A suspect wanted in Tennessee on attempted first-degree murder and other violent crime charges has been arrested in metro Atlanta, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities said Kenneth Spruill was arrested in Hapeville through a joint effort involving the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Roswell Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service and Homeland Security Investigations.
Spruill was one of three suspects wanted in connection with what investigators say was a violent incident in Tennessee. He faces multiple charges there, including attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated burglary, especially aggravated robbery and theft of property.

Officials said Spruill was also wanted in Fulton County on a probation violation charge related to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation contacted Roswell police for help in finding and arresting Spruill.
Investigators tracked Spruill to Hapeville, where he was taken into custody.
“This arrest demonstrates the power of working together to apprehend dangerous criminals and keep our communities safe,” Fulton County Sheriff Patrick “Pat” Labat said in a statement.
It was not immediately clear when Spruill will be extradited to Tennessee to face the charges.
