NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police say a man used camera-equipped glasses to secretly record a 13-year-old girl’s bedroom window.
Investigators say the glasses were found on top of the teen’s mother’s car with the camera pointed toward her room.
Channel 2’s Michael Seiden knocked on Christopher Hall’s door Tuesday, but he didn’t come out to talk.
A woman who said she’s a friend of Hall’s did speak, saying she believes there’s an innocent explanation for what happened.
“He’s a great guy, and this is just like totally stupid, and I have no clue. I don’t even understand,” she said.
The woman asked to not be identified.
“I think he got drunk at a freaking party and left his glasses somewhere, and they happen to be facing someone’s window,” the friend said.
Milton police say the evidence tells a different story.
According to the arrest affidavit, a mother found camera-equipped glasses on top of her car in late June.
Police say the camera was positioned toward her 13-year-old daughter’s open bedroom window.
When detectives reviewed the video, they say they saw the person wearing the glasses walking through the neighborhood.
They started matching clues, trees, power poles, homes and a dog.
Police say the dog seen in the recording matched a dog they later saw inside Hall’s home.
Investigators say those clues helped lead them to him. He’s now charged with felony unlawful eavesdropping or surveillance.
