UNION CITY, Ga. — Eight years after a Union City father of five was shot and killed while delivering Christmas gifts to his children, his family is still searching for answers and hoping a newly established reward will help solve the case.

Christopher Kindle, 30, was killed in December 2018 at an apartment complex on Buffington Road. Despite years of investigation, no arrests have been made.
“We just have to keep going,” said Kindle’s sister, Brandi Kindle. “My life doesn’t even stop.”
Brandi Kindle said she still remembers receiving the call that changed her family’s life forever.
“I got the call. You know, my brother had been murdered,” she said.
According to family members and Union City police, Kindle had spent the day shopping for Christmas gifts for his five children and was delivering presents to two of them at the apartment complex.
“My brother was going to drop off some Christmas gifts to two of his kids,” Brandi Kindle said.

Police said a group of men approached Kindle before he could unload the presents. Investigators said the men forced their way into his vehicle and an altercation followed.
“They forced their way into his car. An altercation occurred in the car,” Brandi Kindle said, recounting what she was told about the incident.
Police said Kindle was shot multiple times after the confrontation.
“Once he got out of the car, we were told the guy shot him three times, walked off, came back, and finished,” she said.
Brandi Kindle said her brother’s death remains difficult to understand.
“He just didn’t deserve it. Nobody deserves that at the end of the day,” she said.

Investigators said they have pursued several leads over the years and interviewed potential suspects. However, police said those individuals were ruled out after alibis were verified.
With the case still unsolved, the family continues to wonder who was responsible and what led to the shooting.
“We’re just trying to figure out who is this person?” Brandi Kindle said. “It had to be someone he had seen around the apartments.”
The family is now hoping a newly established Crime Stoppers reward will encourage someone with information to come forward.
“I feel like my family can’t even start healing because we have no answers,” she said. “We don’t know why this happened. Who did this?”
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers or the Union City Police Department.
