FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. — Several Fayette County schools are without power on Tuesday morning after someone crashed into a power pole.
Fayette LIFE Academy, Spring Hill Elementary School, Sara Harp Minter Elementary School and Whitewater High School are without power.

School district officials say a truck struck a power pole off campus, but it has affected service in the area, including at the schools.
Georgia Power’s outage map shows power out in the area of 1st Manassas Mile. They estimate power will be back on by 1 p.m.

Schools are continuing with their regular school days and School Nutrition is adapting to make sure students gets lunch.
“Please know that students are safe, and school staff are continuing to supervise and support them throughout the day,” officials said in a statement.
