GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gas South Arena will break ground on a $175 million renovation project at the arena and the surrounding Gas South District campus.
The groundbreaking ceremony is set for 10 a.m. at Gas South Arena Plaza on Sept. 3.

The project is expected to be finished by early 2028.
It includes a new 1,000-space parking deck and a reworked premium experience with new loge seating, private suites and a premium club featuring Personal Seat Licenses.
Updated concession service concepts and technology are aimed at reducing wait times and improving convenience and “create a more seamless guest experience.”
The project also includes expanded premium hospitality spaces with custom bars, upscale food and beverage offerings and exclusive gathering areas.
Officials said plans also call for new premium seating options, modernized digital signage with larger high-definition displays.
