Reward for information in death of 8-year-old Secoriea Turner up to $50,000

ATLANTA — The family of an 8-year-old girl who was murdered in Atlanta is asking for justice in her death.

The family of Secoriea Turner held a news conference Monday morning, just a day after detectives identified a second person of interest in the shooting.

The family is asking for anyone, who knows anything to talk to police. The reward in this case has risen to $50,000 thanks to private donors.

Turner was shot and killed as she road in a car with her mother and a friend on July 4th near the now-infamous Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks died.

The driver was trying to turn around after encountering illegal barriers when a group of armed men confronted him and opened fire into the car.

There is a public viewing for Turner on Tuesday with a private funeral Wednesday. Media mogul Tyler Perry is paying for her funeral.
