GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A magnitude 2.3 earthquake struck the metro Atlanta area Wednesday.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said the earthquake was centered in Lilburn at 11:01 a.m.
An earthquake of this strength typically does not cause damage, but you may have felt some shaking near the epicenter, he added.
