Several injured after pickup truck plows into Metro Atlanta bagel shop

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — Several people were taken to the hospital after a pickup truck drove into a bagel restaurant Monday.

On Monday morning, first responders were sent to The Bagel Meister on Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville after receiving reports of a car that drove into the building.

Witnesses told a Channel 2 Action News photographer an elderly couple drove their pickup truck into the restaurant, injuring multiple people.

It is unclear how many people were injured.

The photographer said he saw lots of broken glass around the restaurant.

It is unclear how the incident occurred.

Channel 2 reached out to local authorities but has not received a response.
