DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said an inmate trustee walked off the job Thursday and got into a woman’s car. But now he’s back in the county’s custody.

Isaac Kindle, 21, was taken into custody in the area of Barrett Parkway and Macedonia Road in Powder Springs this afternoon, Powder Springs police reported.
Kindle left the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office car wash, his job assignment, at around 9:30 a.m. in a sedan driven by a woman.

She was stopped in Cobb County earlier in the day, but Kindle was not longer in the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.
Cobb County and Powder Springs police had been searching for Kindle in the area.
Powder Springs PD warned people in the area of Barrett Parkway and Macedonia Road that there may still be traffic problems as officers work to clear the scene.
There is no known threat to the public, though, police said.
Kindle had been arrested previously in June on shoplifting and failure to appear charges.
