Kaitlyn Gardner, 21, and Daimond Hill, 22, both from Memphis, Tennessee, were identified as the suspects.
Investigators say the pair went into the store, began to purchase items, then snatched the cash register from the worker before running away, authorities say.
Minutes later, officers were called to the Aldi on Chapel Hill Road for a similar strong-armed robbery.
