The Atlanta-based airline released a statement to ABC News on Thursday afternoon that confirmed an “unticketed passenger” made their way onto the Christmas Eve flight and had to be removed from the plane.

They say the Airbus A321neo aircraft was taxing out when crews determined the stowaway passenger was on board.

The plane made its way back to the gate and the passenger was apprehended and removed.

Investigators say the passenger boarded the plane without presenting a boarding pass. It’s unclear if that person will be charged.

Port of Seattle police say they were informed by TSA that the passenger got through a security checkpoint on Dec. 23 without a boarding pass, but was properly screened.
